Fix for redirected folders can't connect via server name

This fix may also work for any share in which the user has offline files cached.

To resolve this problem, re-initialize the cache of offline files:

Warning: Make sure that files are synchronized before you add this registry entry. Otherwise, unsynchronized changes will be lost.

  1. Open RegEdit
  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CSC
  3. Right-click on CSC > New > Key, type Parameters and press ENTER.
  4. Right-click Parameters > New > DWORD (32-bit) Value, type FormatDatabase and press ENTER.
  5. Right-click FormatDatabase, and click Modify.
  6. In the Value data box, type 1, and click OK.
  7. Close RegEdit and restart the computer.
